"Gratitude Shows Your Attitude"- Kem Jay

"Gratitude shows your Attitude"... this is what Kem Jay said last night as he called in to talk to Clay Egan on our radio show and I immediately had to write that down because I know how true that is. I love it when I come across others that have gotten the same truth through their own journey. Truth is truth. I know the more I have been grateful for what has come my way.. the higher I seem to sore. There is a vibration to gratitude. So... funny story.. this last Sunday when Christian and I went on KTalk radio he showed me his wrist where he had written with a pen the word  "LOVE." I thought.. 'what a great idea.' I am a firm believer that good uplifting words make a difference in how you feel so why not have it written on your wrist so I quickly did the same.

When Kem Jay called and mentioned 'Gratitude shows your Attitude', I quickly picked up my pen again and wrote the words "LOVE & GRATITUDE" on my wrist. I wondered what Clay was thinking when he watched me do that but that's ok.. it made sense to me. I have a quote that came to me a few years back that goes .."Gratitude is the acceptance of things as they are." I know I have quoted that several times but it's soo true. Time and time again I find myself wanting to change what is, rather than showing my gratitude for what is and the gift those moments give me. Although I have come a long way, I still have a ways to go with this.

Sometimes when we are in the thick of the thin it's hard to see the light through the forest but if we just hold on.. seek for answers... surrender to what is and know that at some point we will have a better understanding, we feel peace.

Many times too we want to try and protect others from challenges but what if their challenges are their greatest blessings in disguise? I do believe that. Look at our society right now. So many people are having to dig really really deep into their souls to find answers to things that once were trivial. It's a good thing. We all need to dig deep and figure out what our real purpose is here and then be grateful for those dark days where the real lessons of life are learned. Diamonds are made by massive amounts of pressure. Do we not at times also feel a lot of pressure and often it's not comfortable... but necessary. Just hang on and know that on the other side of it, is a beautiful life. Don't ever give up. Rise above the challenges of life.

In many ways I see that I was a diamond in the rough and had I not held on through those times where the pressure was intense.. I wouldn't be who I am today. I stand in such a grateful place with a lot of gratitude in my heart now. I can't say it enough.. HOLD ON.. sometimes it feels like for dear life. I promise you will thank me later.
